…especially now that I have a 2DS with Ace Attorney 5 and Virtue’s Last Reward, and Danganronpa 2, Final Fantasy 9 and Melty Blood Actress Again getting launched on Steam, and the Ace Attorney anime coming out on Crunchyroll, so much indie dev work to do and the Verizon union workers’ strike going on…
My brain is working overtime as it is and I STILL can’t cover it all.Back to top
Fucking MELTY coming to my Steam? And fucking UNDER NIGHT too?

…I have finally finished reading the five main books of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series (A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons).
Suffice it to say that the guy is an asshole for leaving SO MANY FRICKIN’ IMPORTANT PLOT LINES in the last book hanging from various cliffs. Doesn’t make him any less of an absolutely amazing writer, but still, asshole.
In other news, I think I kinda broke Risk of Rain — then again, Glass Mode is pretty much how the game should be played, haha.

It’s how we do what we do.
To make something beautiful.
To change the game.
It’s that draught that fuels us: The artist, the warrior, the visionary…
It doesn’t matter who you are, or how you look like: everybody can tap into it. We all speak that language.
We know what it is to look up at an impossible challenge, and push forward anyway.
You go again. You fail faster. You fail better.
You get stronger. You get smarter.
And then one day…
It finally happens.
You push past what you thought your limits were.
That ceiling above you?
It isn’t real.
It never was.
And you realize: it’s not that box you came in that made you…
It’s the moment you broke free of it.
So Ultra Street Fighter IV is out on Steam now. Yay!
But fuck my piece of shit internet connection, I won’t be able to play it until tomorrow because of it.
But Capcom decided to make Valve release the game earlier. Yay!
But fuck it, this piece of shit connection is gonna drive me nuts.
With proper permission from Maj from SonicHurricane.com, I’ve taken the time to figure out how to use and abuse an easily available, overcomplicated, annoying-as-fuck, overly graphically cute software to create ebooks called Calibre (not even gonna bother linking it here), in order to build and publish a mobile ebook version of his world-famous Street Fighter Footsies Handbook. I took the time to create this as, believe it or not, there’s some of us (like myself) in third-world countries that do play Street Fighter frequently and seriously and don’t have mobile data services on our phones in order to be able to freely browse Maj’s site for the handbook.
This mobile ebook version is intended to make it easier to carry the handbook with you, readable in either PDF or EPUB format (both well-known, well-used and extremely portable formats) so you can peruse it whenever you feel like it on your tablet, phone or any other smart device.Back to top
And yes, that IS the resolution/screen size I could get that score at. Anything bigger than that dips the framerate below the 20s. T_T

It’s not a blog post because it’s not intended to have comments on it. You get the drill.

I was leaving adding the 400th entry to my Watched list in my MyAnimeList profile for a really special entry…
…and after playing the Resident Evil 6 demo at my best friend’s place and getting utterly, totally and completely trashed, tingly and giddy for its upcoming release on domestic consoles, with a PC release following shortly afterward, I believe the Resident Evil: Damnation movie quite fits the bill in regards to how special it was, considering the timing it was released at and added to my list, my nerdgasmic fanboyism over the source material, the overall quality of the movie (very high) and the sheer awesomeness of seeing Leon Scott Motherfucking Kennedy back in action, kicking ass and taking names.
Beyond that, I just got my internet back after two days of having issues with the phone line due to incompetent street workers fucking up the below-ground line connections and it’s almost 05:30hrs, so I’m gonna go get some sleep.
Oh, and baby, if you’re reading this (which I’m sure you are), we still have those promises pending. Though you haven’t told me what you want in return either. =p Love you~! ♥

It’s August 17th already and STILL no fucking Skullgirls on Steam.
On the other hand, the international Imagine is getting the legitimate Kappa content update with the Virtual Beach, and I have a retardedly and ridiculously hot long-distance girlfriend. Who, eventually, I plan on making my actual girlfriend. (As soon as either of us can move to the other’s country or somewhere else entirely…)
You win some you lose some, I guess.
About fucking time.
10 COMP slots. And all three LNC plugins in the same character.

Atlus, my friends, you really need to exercise better judgment in choosing community voluntaries to represent you.
Everybody knows that since Atlus took over management of Shin Megami Tensei Imagine, they’ve been working their asses off to more or less “live up to the (preconceived) ideals” that had been formed and set up during the tenure of the game with Aeria. As such, one of the things that many people (grudgingly, myself included) were hoping that Atlus would do right was the Game Sage program. In theory, the community concept of these is a number of volunteer players “representing” the managing company (previously Aeria, now Atlus), with the primary mission of being an intermediary between the Game Masters and the playerbase, as well as being available to help out players that need a hand with anything. (Secondary roles include organizing events and so on, but that’s irrelevant to the point of this post.) For reasons I shall not discuss here nor will consent anyone discussing in the comments with the threat of deleting any post that does, Atlus decided they wouldn’t be named Sages, but went for the completely ridiculous “Buddy-Buds”. How the bloody ever-loving fuck you can take that fucking name seriously is way, WAY beyond me, but I digress.
For the most part, I am surprisingly okay with most of the list of people currently chosen as Sages (I refuse on principle calling them what Atlus calls them, mainly on the grounds of how ridiculous it is).
However, as with everything in the universe, where the wise dwell, the idiots creep up.

Lots of stuff going on with my life, not all of it pleasant.
On the bad side:
I guess the most painful event was hitting my testicles with an electrical cable that snapped like a whip due to an unexpectedly forceful pull from the person at the other end of the line (and yes, it fucking hurt like fucking bloody fuck… fuck — no amount of expletives can express the pain I suffered or could quench my thirst for unleashing them upon the world when I was doubled down on the floor, reeling from the unexpected attack to my anatomy).
On a slightly unrelated note, the most irking thing that’s happened these past few days was that for whatever reason, after I installed MegaManX8 and Resident Evil 4 again on my laptop, Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4 decided to not work anymore, so had to uninstall them both and right now I’m having Steam download/install both again. Fuck.
On the good side, however, there HAVE been a few beacons of light amongst the shadows here and there:
The first would be the fact that apparently, I unconsciously stepped up my Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition game and was able to stand my ground as Ken against a RIDICULOUSLY good, international-tournament-level Akuma. Knowing that I was able to make life difficult for a dude that goes hand in hand with some of the best players around the world makes me feel incredibly pleased with myself.
And secondly, this…
-Has withdrawn from any social activity on the forums, you will only see me participate in events-
…finally happened on Atlus’ forums from this user.
Yay for having one less idiot spewing shit in the community forums! =D

And as such, since I use Steam as a central hub to manage ALL my games, I immediately scrambled to fill my shortcuts with appropriately beautifying images for each non-Steam game.
And my god, are the results breathtakingly beautiful…
